about

This song is about my struggle getting clean off drugs and my still struggle with drinking. And I also wanna dedicate this song to my best friend Aaron Chambers who passed away right before the new year

lyrics

Lyrics:

I’ve thrown away all I used to be
I decided that this was my life
It’s been so long and I thought I was free
But it sneaks up on you out of sight
Theirs an evil aura it reminds me
Some scars on myself time just can’t mend
This vile creature it lurks behind me
It’s been the death of many of my friends

And maybe I’m not wrong
And I’m not all the way gone
And if that’s the case I guess I’ll try again

I can always figure it out tomorrow
Is that the same thing I said yesterday
I can’t remember a time that I followed
Except when the drugs were leading me away
And I’ve been known to over think too much
I probably just need some time alone
I may be clean but I sure as hell am drunk
Sobriety is not a skill I can own

And maybe I’m not wrong
And I’m not all the way gone
And if that’s the case it was fun while it lasted

And maybe I’m not wrong
And I’m not all the way gone
And if that’s the case it was fun while it lasted

And maybe I’m not wrong
And I’ll sing this farewell song
And if that’s the case I love you all goodbye
